After taking the battery off, replace it with a new 3 volt coin cell battery. Make sure that the "+" positive side of the battery corresponds to the opening in the fob and that the"-" negative side is facing towards the buttons made of rubber.
Reattach the mirror's passenger side cover by aligning the tabs that locate it. Once you've completed this, put the driver-side fob back into your vehicle and test it. Press the push button located on the back of the key. If everything works correctly the car should turn on the parking lights and your doors will automatically lock.
